Day 9 - Tralee to Galway vis Cliffs on Moherind, rain and mist to play golf

Left Tralee this morning on the way to the cliffs, again another rainy day. Took the Wild Atlantic Way to Tarbert and took the ferry across the Shannon River, this was really enjoyable. Stopped at Killmuck to have a cuppa and some lunch. Found a nice little cafe at the golf club situated right on the beach. It was just lovely but full of mad golfers heading off into the wet cold rainy misty day! Bunch of weirdos. Stopped at a golf club  at Doughsmore Bay, unbelievable, didn't actually realise it was a gold club resort at the time, we thought it was an old manor. The greens looked just gorgeous, we think it may have been the Trump International Golf Resort as we passed an entrance to that a bit further down the road. Day of golf clubs for us! On to the Cliffs of Moher - which were no more today! Mist as thick as custard was there and you couldn't seee a thing! We actually had to laugh because about 50 million of us paid €6 each to look at fog! One fellow in the visitor centre was photographing the video that showed what it would have looked like if the fog hadn't rolled in! The luck of the Irish!

  1. No wonder Ireland is so green with all that moisture about, looks like 6 euro well spent? Shame you didn't pack a set of golf clubs, you could have joined the locals for a round!!! Maybe a round of Guinness for everyone would help... Love Pam and Vernon xxxxx
